Our Company

Wife Teacher Mommy is a small online business looking to expand in the education space. We offer printable and digital teaching resources to teachers and homeschool parents to cut hours off of their planning time so they can enjoy other areas of their lives. We sell them on our own website, Teachers pay Teachers, and Etsy. In addition, we just launched a new membership model on our website in September 2021 and our business model is transitioning towards a goal of our customers joining the membership.

POSITION: Digital Marketing Assistant

REPORTS TO: CEO

JOB TYPE: Full Time, W2 Salaried Exempt Employee

SALARY: Starting Base Salary $40,000/yr plus occasional  bonuses based on performance

LOCATION: Remote, but hoping to hire an employee located in Utah since we are registered for employment there and we like to be able to hold occasional in-person meetings. Utah residents preferred, but any U.S. resident may apply if you feel you are a strong candidate for the role

Role (Overview of the Position):

The role of the digital marketing assistant is to assist in the implementation of the marketing plan from the CEO in the areas of email marketing, funnels, organic Facebook, Instagram, image and GIF design, and TikTok marketing, as well as other marketing initiatives as requested. Our full-time digital marketing assistant will also be able to be a sounding board for marketing plans with the CEO and the rest of the Wife Teacher Mommy team.

Responsibilities (Tasks associated with the Role):

  • Formatting pre-written email and SMS one-time campaigns into our email marketing provider (Klaviyo) and adding and creating visuals for them as needed
  • Formatting pre-written email and SMS automated FLOWS into our email provider (Klaviyo) as well 
  • Import email and coupon CSVs into Klaviyo weekly
  • Filming videos and taking pictures of our resources for Instagram reels, TikTok, Facebook ads, etc.
  • Editing other video content provided by Kelsey in Instagram reels
  • Repost and repurpose our IG reels on TikTok
  • Creating visuals in Canva for sharing in email, social media, FB ads, etc. as needed
  • Posting and engaging daily on our teacher and homeschool Instagram profiles (Posting reels, posts, carousels, videos, and stories. Replying to comments from our followers)
  • Scheduling shares of relevant viral posts on our Facebook pages 
  • Checking Facebook comments daily and responding to them and taking care of any problems, referring to customer service as needed
  • Posting regularly in our Facebook groups and adding/welcoming new members on a regular basis
  • Random bullet point to see if you are paying attention. Please put an asterisk by your first name in your application.
  • Keeping track of giveaways (weekly in our Club group, monthly IG engagement giveaway, and other giveaways as planned), picking and contacting winners on time and making sure they are set up with their prizes (either by fulfilling them yourself or connecting them to customer service)
  • Answering direct messages on Instagram and Facebook and referring them to our customer service email as needed
  • Keeping our Amazon Influencer shop up-to-date with items to be used with our resources, book lists, etc.
  • Sharing Amazon deals and teaching supplies on social media following best practices
  • Creating landing pages and funnel pages in Elementor and BuildWooFunnels using templates and tutorials provided (this will be added on once fully trained in other areas)
  • Assisting with planning and implementing our first live virtual event this summer
  • Help expand our affiliate marketing program and refer-a-friend programs in the future
  • Assisting Kelsey and the team with other tasks as requested
 

Tech Used in this Role:

  • Social Media (mainly Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok in this role but Pinterest and others may be used on occasion)
  • Klaviyo (email and SMS software)
  • WordPress and WooCommerce (training provided)
  • Klaviyo (email and SMS provider- training provided)
  • ClickUp for project management (training provided)
  • Time Camp (for keeping track of time on tasks)
  • Elementor (page builder using WordPress- training provided)
  • BuildWooFunnels (funnel builder using WordPress and Elementor- training provided)
  • PowerPoint (MUST be proficient)
  • Google Apps (MUST be proficient- Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms)
  • Proficiency in Photoshop is a plus
  • Lightroom or other photo editing apps as needed (training provided)
 

Results (Expected Accomplishments):

  • Email and SMS campaigns are able to go out on time to the correct lists without Kelsey having to format and schedule them all herself
  • We are able to build out and create more automated email flows and funnels targeted to both the teacher audience and parent audience over the next year with all paths leading towards subscribers joining Wife Teacher Mommy Club
  • Our social media followings are growing and becoming increasingly engaged
  • The members of our new Wife Teacher Mommy Club group are in an engaged community and feel like the group is extra special 
  • Our revenue from social media channels increase
  • We hit our goal to grow our Wife Teacher Mommy Club membership to at least 1500 members by September 6, 2022 (one year from when it began)


Requirements:

  • While the schedule is flexible, the applicant must be available to work some daytime hours (when most of our team is working) and some evening hours (when our audience is more active online for posting) and plan accordingly as needed
  • Must be able to commit to being fully focused on work during work time (no working while at a second job such as teaching in a classroom, or if kids are around there must be another person helping with the children, etc)
  • Access to high-speed internet and your own computer and smartphone with a high-quality camera 
  • Very tech-savvy and can learn new programs and processes quickly
  • An eye for design and understands our branding- uses our Canva templates but can tweak them as needed to meet the needs of the design while still looking on-point
  • A clear understanding of Instagram and the difference between stories, reels, IGTV, Videos, and posts
  • A basic understanding of digital marketing
  • Understands the term “funnels”
  • Experience teaching in a K-5 classroom or being a homeschool parent is a huge plus for understanding our customer avatars, our audience, and our niche
  • Willingness to take marketing ideas and plans from the CEO and make them happen
  • Ability to fully understand the intent and vision of the CEO, work as a sounding board for the CEO in the realm of digital marketing
  • Ability to turn conversations and discussions into action plans
  • Ability to set goals and develop achievable timelines to hit them
  • Outgoing personality and doesn’t mind being on camera
  • Independent self-starter who completes tasks on time, every time
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to take constructive feedback
  • Extreme, obsessive attention to detail 
  • Emotionally self-regulate even during times of pressure and stress to be present for the team
  • Loyal, hard-working, and comfortable in a fast-paced small business environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Able to attend regular virtual meetings and occasional in-person meetings
  • Must not have their own active TPT store or competing business (non-compete required)
  • You are positive and optimistic and see challenges as growth opportunities
