POSITION: Digital Marketing Assistant
REPORTS TO: CEO
JOB TYPE: Full Time, W2 Salaried Exempt Employee (if located outside of Utah, candidate will start out as a 1099 contractor for initial 90 day training/probationary period before committing to out-of-state employee paperwork)
SALARY: Starting Base Salary $40,000/yr plus occasional bonuses based on performance
LOCATION: Remote. We would love an in-state candidate (Utah) for occasional in-person meetings, however finding the right person for this role is a higher priority than location
Role (Overview of the Position):
The role of the digital marketing assistant is to assist in the implementation of the marketing plan from the CEO in the areas of email marketing, funnels, Facebook and Google ads, social media marketing, image and GIF design, as well as other marketing initiatives as requested. Our full-time digital marketing assistant will also be able to be a sounding board for marketing plans with the CEO and work closely with the rest of the Wife Teacher Mommy team.
Responsibilities (Tasks associated with the Role):
- Formatting pre-written email and text campaigns and automations into our email marketing provider (Klaviyo) and adding and creating visuals for them as needed
- Assisting with paid Facebook, Google, and Pinterest Ad campaigns under the direction of Kelsey and our marketing coach (training provided, but experience is a huge plus)
- Editing landing pages and funnel pages in Elementor and BuildWooFunnels and creating new ones on an as-needed basis using templates and tutorials provided
- Filming videos and taking pictures of our resources for Instagram reels, TikTok, Facebook ads, etc. once per month
- Editing other video content provided for Instagram reels and Facebook ads
- Repost and repurpose our IG reels on TikTok
- Creating visuals in Canva for sharing in email, social media, FB ads, etc. as needed
- Posting and engaging daily on our Instagram profile (Posting reels, posts, carousels, videos, and stories. Replying to comments from our followers)
- Create ManyChat campaigns for Facebook and Instagram
- Scheduling shares of relevant viral posts on our Facebook pages
- Checking Facebook comments daily and responding to them and taking care of any problems, referring to customer service as needed
- Posting regularly in our Facebook groups and adding/welcoming new members on a regular basis
- Recording monthly metrics on the performance of our social media posts, emails, etc.

- Keeping track of giveaways (weekly in our Club group, monthly IG engagement giveaway, and other giveaways as planned), picking and contacting winners on time and making sure they are set up with their prizes (either by fulfilling them yourself or connecting them to customer service)
- Assist with marketing on Teachers pay Teachers (grabbing promo spots monthly, writing TPT notes to followers, and changing out banners)
- Answering direct messages on Instagram and Facebook and referring them to our customer service email as needed
- Keeping our Amazon Influencer shop up-to-date with items to be used with our resources, book lists, etc.
- Sharing Amazon deals and teaching supplies on social media following best practices
- Help expand our affiliate marketing program and refer-a-friend programs in the future
- Assisting Kelsey and the team with other tasks as requested

- ClickUp for project management and time tracking (training provided)
- Elementor (page builder using WordPress- training provided)
- BuildWooFunnels (funnel builder using WordPress and Elementor- training provided)
- Canva (image design)
- ManyChat (automation for Instagram and Facebook messaging)
- PostPilot (for sending postcards to customers- this will be new for our team but is planned)
- Metorik (data tool for WooCommerce)
- Zoom and Google Meet
- Amazon Affiliate Dashboard
- PowerPoint (MUST be proficient)
- Google Apps (MUST be proficient- Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms)
- A Color Story, Lightroom or other photo editing apps as needed (training provided)
Results (Expected Accomplishments):
- Email and SMS campaigns are able to go out on time to the correct lists without Kelsey having to format them all herself
- We are able to work together to expand our paid ad reach on Facebook, Google, and Pinterest and convert the traffic from our paid ads into customers and members
- We are able to build out and create more automated email flows and funnels targeted to both the teacher audience and parent audience over the next year with all paths leading towards subscribers joining Wife Teacher Mommy Club
- Our social media followings are growing and becoming increasingly engaged
- The members of our new Wife Teacher Mommy Club group feel valued and the Club experience continues to get better and better
- Our revenue from social media channels increase
- Data is being tracked so we know what is working and what is not
- We hit our goal to grow our Wife Teacher Mommy Club membership to at least 1500 members by October 13, 2022 (one year from when our initial launch ended)
Requirements:
- Former experience in digital marketing (ESPECIALLY Facebook or Google advertising) and/or teaching is a huge plus
- An eye for design and understands our branding- uses our Canva templates but can tweak them as needed to meet the needs of the design while still looking on-point
- While the schedule is flexible, the applicant must be available to work some daytime hours (when most of our team is working) and some evening hours (when our audience is more active online for posting) and plan accordingly as needed
- Must be able to commit to being fully focused on work during work time (no working while at a second job such as teaching in a classroom, or if kids are around there must be another person helping with the children, etc)
- Access to high-speed internet and your own computer and smartphone with a high-quality camera
- Very tech-savvy and can learn new programs and processes quickly
- Impeccable grammar and punctuation (remember, our target audience is teachers!)
- A basic understanding of digital marketing and Facebook ads
- Understands the term “funnels”
- Experience teaching in a K-5 classroom or being a homeschool parent is a huge plus for understanding our customer avatars, our audience, and our niche
- Willingness to take marketing ideas and plans from the CEO and make them happen
- Ability to fully understand the intent and vision of the CEO, work as a sounding board for the CEO in the realm of digital marketing
- Ability to turn conversations and discussions into action plans
- Ability to set goals and develop achievable timelines to hit them
- Outgoing personality and doesn’t mind being on camera
- Independent self-starter who completes tasks on time, every time
- Willing to dig in and figure out new things, sometimes figuring out new initiatives themselves for the first time- has the motto “everything is figure-outable”
- Can keep up with the constantly changing pace and priorities of small business and digital marketing
- Strong communication skills and willingness to take constructive feedback
- Extreme, obsessive attention to detail
- Emotionally self-regulate even during times of pressure and stress to be present for the team

- Must not have their own active TPT store or competing business (non-compete required)
